    Gearhart & Goldwater: A small crowd welcomes Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona to Houston. KHOU reporter Nick Gearhart asks the politician about growing support for a possible presidential bid and the recent Cuban Missile Crisis. Goldwater did not officially announce his intention to run for president until January 1964. 
    Weldon (Possible AFL-CIO SAG-Rep): Interview with Texas State Representative J. D. Weldon. At the time, Weldon was also a candidate for the president of the Texas AFL-CIO, a state federation of labor unions. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1962 to 1971.
