In this 1960s public service announcement from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Los Angeles Lakers player Jerry West warns of the potential dangers of catching the measles. The advertisement was part of a nationwide CDC campaign to end measles. Despite the occasional outbreak among unvaccinated populations, the agency declared measles eliminated in the United States in 2000.
