This footage features a pair of 1985 segments for PM Magazine. In the first, broadcast on June 13, host Maryanne Walser attends the annual Southern Hushuppy Olympics (now known as the Southern Hushpuppy Championships) in Lufkin. First held in 1971, the competition is a highlight of the annual Texas Stat Forest Festival. In the second segment, broadcast on June 25, Walser profiles a Winnie woman that specializes in furniture restoration. PM Magazine was a local news and entertainment television program broadcast on Beaumont’s KFDM-TV in from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s.
