This footage tours the Ursuline Academy in San Antonio after the former Catholic school received a historical marker from the State Historical Survey Committee (now Texas Historical Commission) in January 1971. The historic property was left empty and abandoned for five years before the San Antonio Conservation Society purchased part the campus in 1971. Over the next decade, it was bought and restored by the Southwest Craft Center. Now known as the Southwest School of Art, the facility offers art classes, workshops, and exhibitions.
