Along with documenting the actual events, the film also captures some local sentiment, focusing on a newspaper advertisement that demands, 'Notice: Return Anderson Mill at Once' as well as a handwritten note that reads: 'who got de mill? where de mill? the lighting roared and the thunder flashed/ and then - / Monday April 8, 1958.'
