Fort Worth is the scene for the first of four pre-release showings of "The Rare Breed," an historical Western that has white faced Polled Herefords as unbilled stars.
It is a tale of early Texas when this English breed was introduced to the ranges and replaced the Longhorn.
There's a festive turnout for the movie showing that dramatizes a mileston in Texas history, a picture that stars lovely Maureen O-Hara as the firey English lass who battles highbound cattleman.
James Stewart also stars as a cowboy convert to the Hereford breed.
With costars Juliet Mills and Don Galloway, "The Rare Breed" promises to be a rare and different Western drama.
