In this 1970s amateur film, a young Walton Rowell and his friends parody a television news broadcast covering the Convention of 1833, including an interview with the “Father of Texas” himself, Stephen F. Austin. Following convention updates, they use stop-motion animation to deliver on-the-scene reporting of a giant armadillo attack. Now a professional lighting technician, donor Walter Rowell has worked on hundreds of feature films, television shows, commercials, and music videos.
