Join us for a Now Leaving Texas-themed Archive Dive with Chip Richie!

On Tuesday, May 31, at 6 p.m., TAMI explores the Robert Yarnall Richie Collection with special guest Chip Richie. Robert Yarnall Richie was a Houston-based freelance photographer and filmmaker who worked with large corporations in Texas and around the globe. His collection includes industrial productions for companies such as Aramco Services, Gulf Oil, Trans World Airlines, and IBM. We’ll be joined by his son Chip Richie, who continues the family filmmaking tradition as the head of Richie Media Productions. Tune in on Facebook Live, YouTube Live, or Twitch.

The Richie Collection is one of the many TAMI collections that include footage from abroad featured in our upcoming exhibit, Now Leaving Texas. Explore seven continents and 27 countries through the film and video camera lens of Texans starting May 31 at TexasArchive.org. Now Leaving Texas is produced in partnership with the Office of the Governor’s Texas Film Commission.

Archive Dive is made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
