In this segment, taped for KDFW’s “Eyewitness News” in July 1978, Dallas-based reporter Jim Ruddy covers the strike of several hundred San Antonio garbage workers on July 22nd. Following the firing of over 100 workers, members of the San Antonio Refuse Collectors Association marched on city hall, insisting that terminated workers be reinstated and demands for higher wages be met.
