Channel 11 ran a news clip yesterday something about purchasing lights fixtures, appliances, etc and I didn"t catch the name & location of the place. Can you please forward? Thank you Larry Samek

This is a very interesting clip. I remember most of these personalities. My mother, Ruth Cook, had a live 1-hour show on Sundays at KGUL in Galveston from maybe 1953 or 54, then went to the Houston studio for a while. Do I dare ask if any tape or film exists? I think it was called the 'Sunday Home Hour.' Thanks very much.
My jaw dropped to the floor a few days ago when I saw this tape for the first time in my life. I"m 83 years old now ... my memory"s not what once was ... whatever, I don"t even recall making it. But, clearly I did. That"s me and that"s my pal, on and off the air, Errol Flynn. Everyone else in it is long gone now. I will be, too, before much more time passes. It was one of the best periods in my life and that"s saying something because my entire life has been one grand adventure after another. Thank you for reminding me just HOW grand! (Oops! I see I"ve ALREADY emailed you! I TOLD you the old memory"s not what it once was! Oh, me, oh my ... guess it"s going faster than I realized...)
So glad you found the clip! Please contact us at email@example.com or 512.485.3073 to get a copy. We have some additional films from KHOU on the website (I don"t think any of them feature Dick John), and more are available through our partner, the Houston Public Library/Houston Metropolitan Research Center at http://digital.houstonlibrary.org/cdm/search/searchterm/KHOU-TV.
This was such a treat for me to see!!! My Daddy was/is a first class act!! Thank you for placing it in your archives.
Found your site searching on my Dad"s name 'Dick John'. We had no idea this clip existed. Who might I talk to about the video as to possibly purchasing a copy for our family genealogy archives. Also are there any other films of our dad at KHOU. Thanks for any help you might be able to give. Ric John
Astonished to discover this piece of video. Am 83 now, live with son and daughter in Fort Worth area, still getting around but just barely .. This reminds me of happy times and places .. and of something Ron Stone once said to me, 'My God, Dick, did you ever, in your wildest dreams, think you"d be paid to have so much fun!?!! He hit the nail on the head .. both of us were blessed with interesting, exciting lives. For which we both were grateful. Dick John May 10, 2013
