Scope was a student news program made by a media production and journalism class at Austin’s Reagan High School. Students both star and work behind the scenes. Veronica Mars and Party Down creator Rob Thomas was the journalism teacher at Reagan High School and oversaw this student production. Donor Viet Nguyen went on to work as an editor and director for a number of television series, including on Thomas’ iZombie. Broadcast from April 1, 1993, this April Fools edition includes joke stories about the junior prom, off-campus lunch, and a new football recruit.
