In these outtakes from a 1978 news report for San Antonio’s KMOL-TV (now WOAI-TV), reporter Paul Schaefer visits the San Antonio Zoo to see a two-headed Texas rat snake named Janus. Schaefer interviews a zookeeper about the unusual animal and then runs through variations of his introduction and sign-off. Lengthy close-ups allow for a good view of the snake, which lived at the zoo until 1995.
