Written and directed by Jack Landman, this 1977 educational film outlines the solar energy project Trinity University undertook with the Energy Research and Development Administration. Pushed by an uptick in prices on natural gas, the university created plans to transform some of it’s natural gas infrastructure into electric lines for heating and cooling. Narrator Susan Droke describes how the university installed more than a thousand concentrated solar collectors on the roof of two buildings overlooking the campus baseball fields. Also included are interviews with professors and animated diagrams explaining the project.
