This news segment for Houston’s KPRC-TV, broadcast on January 7, 2000, goes over a potential update on four unsolved murders in League City, Texas. In April 1984, the remains of Heide Villarreal-Fye (last seen in October 1983) were found in a field along the 3000 block of Calder Road. The remains of Audrey Cooke (last seen in December 1985) and Laura Miller (last seen in September 1984) were discovered along the same block in February 1986. Another set of remains, later identified as belonging to Donna Prudhomme, were also found there in September 1991. The area became known as the Texas Filling Fields, with 30 bodies of murder victims found in the 25-acre field near Interstate 45 between 1971 and 2006. Most of the cases remain unsolved.
