This television commercial promotes Holiday in the Park at Six Flags AstroWorld in Houston. Debuting at Six Flags Over Texas in 1985, Holiday in the Park was an annual Christmastime event held at a number of Six Flags amusement parks. Six Flags AstroWorld offered Holiday in the Park for ten seasons, from 1988 to 1997, with attractions including ice skating and a snow hill. AstroWorld opened on June 1, 1968, as part of the Astrodomain, a development complex owned by former Houston Mayor Roy Hofheinz. Six Flags bought the park in 1975, operating it until its closure in 2005. Contributor Kenny Ryan worked at Six Flags AstroWorld from 1981 to 1983.
