This 1951 home movie shows the Bench family around Oklahoma and the Fort Sill Military Reservation. First, they go hiking on Mount Scott, part of the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. Gerald Bench, a captain in the US Army at the time, participates in artillery demonstrations at Fort Sill. Soldiers test fire a variety of weapons, including 75-mm tank guns and 37-mm artillery. Gerald Bench rejoins his family for some pool time, before taking daughters Marcia and Geraldine horseback riding.
