This footage for Houston's KPRC-TV shows a demonstration of the Litton RX-2, an experimental pressure suit designed for extravehicular activity. During the early 1960s, Litton Industries manufactured a series of hard-shell space suits intended for Project Gemini. Unlike soft suits, hard-shell suits maintained a near constant volume and could operate at higher pressure. This design was never put into practice. Gemini astronauts ultimately wore the G4C suit for extravehicular activity.
