This government film documents an Exxon oil drilling site located in Angelina National Forest in March 1987. First, a helicopter flies over the location, known as Pen Creek Field. Later, US Forest Service personnel visit the site to tour the operation in person.

The US Forest Service is part of the US Department of Agriculture. The agency manages approximately 650,000 acres of public lands in Texas, including Davy Crockett National Forest, Sabine National Forest, Angelina National Forest, and Sam Houston National Forest as well as the Caddo and Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands. The Texas offices for the US Forest Service are located in Lufkin.
