This video contains a pair of segments for PM Magazine airing in 1984. The first profiles American gymnast Mary Lou Retton, who won Olympic gold in 1984, and 12-year-old Olympic hopeful Kristie Phillips as she trains with coach Bela Karolyi. In the second segment, Sarah Chopping promotes local events, including the Beaumont Players’ performance of “the Importance of Being Earnest” at Little Theater in Fair Park. PM Magazine was a local news and entertainment television program broadcast on Beaumont’s KFDM-TV in from late 1970s to the mid-1980s.
