    Train Wrecked, 11/27/66: On the scene of a train derailment in northwest Harris County. On November 27, the midsection of an 86-car Missouri Pacific freight train derailed, scattering 27 cars along the tracks and damaging the cargo. Roughly 400 feet of track was damaged, but none of the five crewmen were hurt. 
    McConell [sic], 11/29/66: Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. McConnell delivers a speech at the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston. In his address, McConnell criticized the detailed press coverage of the Vietnam War, arguing that it makes too much combat information accessible to the enemy. McConnell visited Houston to address the Houston Men's Club Forum and make his first tour of the Manned Spacecraft Center.
