Aboard the Kraft Space Ship. In 1959, Kraft launched an ad-clipping contest offering children a variety of space-themed prizes, including telescopes and model kits. The grand prize was a spaceship simulator manufactured by Aerojet, a NASA contractor. The ship went on tour before going to its eventual winner—a young girl from St. Louis, Missouri. She donated it to her elementary school before the craft was ultimately moved to the lawn of the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
