This home movie captures members of the Leyva family as they visit Houston's Six Flags AstroWorld in the late 1970s. Houston Mayor Judge Roy Hofheinz opened the park in 1968 as a component to the Astrodome. He sold the park to the Six Flags Corporation in 1975, which eventually closed AstroWorld's doors in 2005. In this film, the children spend time on various rides, including the old Alpine Carousel and the Bugs Bunny Barnstormer ride. The film concludes with a performance by Marvel McFey, the official mascot of AstroWorld.
