In this unedited interview for Austin's KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with actor Martin Sheen to talk about his latest film, The Believers (1987). Sheen ends up saying very little about the movie. Instead, he talks at length about his connections to Texas, from his experiences filming there on location to a visit to the Lyndon B. Johnson Library in Austin. Sheen also discusses his admiration for the Kennedy family and his unease at portraying President John F. Kennedy in the television miniseries Kennedy. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin's ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
