In this unedited interview for Austin's KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with actor Michael Douglas to talk about his latest film, Fatal Attraction (1987), also starring Glenn Close. The film received six Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture. In the interview, Douglas discusses what attracted him to the role and how he came to be a part of the picture long before production began. He also mentions his frequent visits to Austin to work with screenwriter Warren Skaaren, the first commissioner of the Texas Film Commission. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin's ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
