In this unedited interview for Austin's KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with South African antiapartheid activists Wendy Woods and her husband, Lord Donald Woods, to talk about the film Cry Freedom (1987). The film was based on a pair of books written by Donald under the same name. Actors Penelope Wilton and Kevin Kline portrayed the couple in the film. In the interview, Wendy and Donald discuss the reality of certain scenes and their experience of living in exile. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin's ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
