This home movie from March of 1961 captures scenes of the Jung family's trip to Dallas and New Orleans. Footage includes shots of the iconic Statler Hilton Hotel, later renamed the Dallas Grand Hotel, and the flagship Neiman Marcus store. In New Orleans, the family visits St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, and Canal Street and later take a trip on a steamship. Dr. Edmund Dixon Jung and Dr. Haw Chan Jung both grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and met while attending the University of California San Francisco. The family lived in San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood, making home movies of family outings and trips such as this one from 1952-1967.
