    Aliʻiolani Hale, the former seat of government of the Kingdom of Hawaii and Republic of Hawaii. The building currently houses the Hawaii State Supreme Court. The statue in front honors Kamehameha, the monarch who founded the Kingdom of Hawaii.

    Opening in 1963, the Polynesian Cultural Center encompasses seven simulated tropical villages representing each of the major Polynesian cultures: Hawaii, Samoa, Aotearoa (present-day New Zealand), Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, and the Marquesas Islands. The Center features a variety of activities and cultural learning experiences, including luaus and a nightly show.
