These short educational films, hosted by Jimmy Medellin and George Vasquez, Jr., explore various aspects of Brownsville's history and modern life. Each film combines background on the subject with live interviews and onsite footage. Jimmy Medellin goes deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off of South Padre Island. Much of this episode is footage of fishermen set to music, with some narration by Jimmy Medellin. Captain Matt E. Murphy of Charter Service, Inc. pilots the fishing boat and talks about his experiences through decades of working the Gulf - the nature of the Gulf, natural cycles of fish populations, specifics of different fish species, especially the Red Snapper.
