These short educational films, hosted by Jimmy Medellin and George Vasquez, Jr., explore various aspects of Brownsville's history and modern life. Each film combines background on the subject with live interviews and onsite footage. This episode presents the old Brownsville City Cemetery, taking a look at its history and some of its prominent graves. Chula Griffin of the Brownsville Cemetery Association gives a tour and explains some points of the historic interest, such as how the site for the cemetery was chosen and morbid events that caused it to grow. She also discusses the headstones, highlighting some of the more elaborate examples and explaining symbolism found throughout the cemetery.
