In Weimar, Texas, students learn to use typewriters, sew, and play musical instruments. Scenes from the school yard follow where the children play sports and other games, and many of the young boys wear bomber hats, which were popular at the time. This film is part of a larger collection of itinerant films made by Arthur J. Higgins. Higgins was an itinerant filmmaker in the 1930s and 40s who visited towns across the country with his wife, spending several days recording posed scenes of daily life there that focused primarily on the residents, for whom the film was typically shown at a local theater.
