Austin television personality Carolyn Jackson interviews actress Susan Saint James about the film Outlaw Blues, in which she plays a woman helping an ex-convict get revenge on the man who stole his song. Saint James, who at the time of the interview was best known for her role in the television program McMillan & Wife, reflects that she enjoyed getting to expand her acting experience. Outlaw Blues was filmed entirely in Austin and Saint James praises the city and its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. She also discusses family life, living in an Airstream trailer, her family's pets, and their vegetarian diet.

Carolyn Jackson was on the air in Austin as a daytime lifestyle show host during the late 1960s and 1970s. She began her broadcast career when she joined KTBC in 1968 as the host of Women's World, which was later renamed The Carolyn Jackson Show. In the late 1970s, Jackson moved the show to KTVV (now NBC affiliate KXAN.) These excerpts represent a small sample of Jackson's work. The bulk of her collection is made up of interviews with Texas personalities or from Hollywood film release press junkets, but the collection also includes feature stories, outtakes, and behind the scenes clips.
